Plants vs. Zombies is all about that satisfying pop when a Peashooter takes down a buckethead zombie just in time. You'll juggle limited sunlight and a growing army of weird undead, choosing which of your 49 plants should go where on the lawn. Some levels drag if you’re chasing every achievement or coin, and the grind for power-ups can get repetitive if you skip in-app purchases. Still, it’s the rare strategy game where every wave keeps you thinking right until the last shuffling foot.
